Udi reviewing remodeling plans and completed project photos with homeowners during the planning process

Process

How a project unfolds.

Five stages from first walk-through to warranty. We tell you what is next at every step.

  1. 01

    Consultation

An in-person walk-through of your home. We listen, ask questions, and give an honest read on what is possible and what it tends to cost in your area.

    60–90 minutes

  2. 02

    Design & Planning

Scope, drawings, selections, and a real number. We collaborate with your designer or architect, or bring in design partners we work with.

    4–8 weeks

  3. 03

    Permits

Plan-check submission, jurisdictional review, and inspection coordination. Hillside, coastal-zone, and HOA reviews add time we plan for upfront.

    6–12 weeks

  4. 04

    Construction

Sequenced work, regular walk-throughs, clean job-site discipline, and clear handoffs between trades. You always know what is next.

    Varies by scope

  5. 05

    Walkthrough & Warranty

Punch list, final inspections, and a written warranty handover. We come back if something needs attention after move-in.

    Final week + warranty period

Process questions

Common questions

  • Earlier than most homeowners expect. A typical Westside kitchen or bath remodel runs 4–6 weeks of design, 6–12 weeks of permitting (longer in Malibu coastal-zone or Calabasas hillside), and 2–4 months of construction. Additions and ADUs extend further. Reaching out 3–6 months ahead of when you would like construction to start is reasonable; for larger projects, 9–12 months is realistic.
