Scope notes

About this scope

This page describes the TYPE of bathroom remodel we build across the Westside. A bathroom remodel is as much about what is behind the wall as in front of it. The waterproofing assembly under the tile, the vent stack, the drainage slope, and the substrate detailing decide whether the bath looks good five years on. We use sheet or liquid waterproofing systems sized to the wet area and we carry the membrane up the walls and across the bench in showers — the kind of detail homeowners never see but always feel the absence of when it fails.

A typical primary bath runs four to eight weeks of active construction. Powder baths and secondary baths come in faster. Most projects involve a permit because plumbing relocations, electrical updates, or structural changes are usually part of scope; pure cosmetic refreshes are the exception.

Older Westside homes often surface water damage, dry rot, or substrate issues during demo. We document, photograph, and address these as approved change orders before continuing — never silent surprises at the end.
