Scope notes

About this scope

This page describes the TYPE of kitchen remodel we build across Calabasas, Malibu, Culver City, Agoura Hills, and the wider Westside. A typical Westside kitchen remodel touches cabinetry, countertops, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and appliances, and often opens a wall between the kitchen and an adjacent dining or family room to bring the layout in line with how the family actually lives.

Lead times are the variable that most often shifts a schedule. Cabinetry is usually the longest single lead time; imported stone slabs are often the second. We sequence the demolition, structural, and rough-in work so framing and inspections clear before the cabinetry shows up — that way an unrelated lead-time slip cannot ripple into the rest of the schedule.

Hillside parcels in Calabasas may require additional structural and grading review under the LA County Hillside Ordinance. Coastal-zone kitchens in Malibu may require Coastal Development Permit review if the work extends beyond the existing footprint. Both add time we plan for upfront.
