Scope notes
About this scope
This page describes the TYPE of exterior and outdoor living work we build across the Westside and Conejo Valley. An outdoor living project extends the home outward. Common scope spans patios, decks, outdoor kitchens, fire-pit lounges, pergolas, pool surrounds, retaining walls, and landscape lighting.
Drainage is the binding constraint on hillside lots. New hardscape changes how water moves across a parcel; without a proper drainage plan, a beautifully built patio can route runoff toward the foundation. We engineer drainage into the design — slope grading, French drains, and code-compliant runoff sized for the parcel.
Gas lines for outdoor kitchens and fireplaces require permits. Pool work requires its own permit and trade coordination. Some HOAs — Hidden Hills, The Oaks, and similar gated communities — carry architectural review that adds four to eight weeks to permitting.
